\u201cFrom day one, we have been fighting for accountability from the Government of Ontario and the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development regarding how our files were treated,\u201d<\/em> Kuljinder said.<\/p>

\u201cWe went to the Legislature, the OINP office, filed freedom-of-information requests and even approached the Human Rights Tribunal. It feels like bringing this matter before the courts is finally giving us an opportunity to be heard.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

As a result, protests outside Queen’s Park and the OINP office began in November 2025. Demonstrators demanded transparency and clear explanations. Meanwhile, Ontario pointed to federal immigration allocation changes and pressure on the provincial nominee system.<\/p>
